On September 9th, the American Red Cross launched an exciting and engaging new mobile app designed to streamline the registration and donation scheduling process for their 3 million blood donors across the US. On the release date the app reached top rankings on both the Apple iTunes and Google Play app stores. The app, simultaneously released on Apple iOS and Google Android, is built on software technology developed and implemented by aMind Solutions that exposes ARCs legacy Oracle Siebel CRM system through a set of REST APIs The app significantly improves the overall user experience of finding local ARC centers and scheduling blood donations. Additionally the app provides access to rewards donated by ARC sponsors, as well as integrates with Facebook and other social applications enabling donors to share their experiences to help increase donor registrations.
