As part of a strategic focus to enhance sales rep productivity, the initiative will provide the company’s business development managers, regional operations specialists and account executes anywhere/anytime access to relevant customer, sales and marketing information and functions from mobile devices. The partnership with aMind was initiated from the company’s frustration with deploying Siebel Open UI Mobile to provide a mobile experience for their sales users. A number of factors significantly restricted the adoption of this initial solution, specifically, the lack of UI/UX flexibility for delivering an ideal app for users, no support for offline access and the restriction to Siebel data only. aMind’s domain expertise in mobilizing Oracle Siebel CRM, along with it’s innovative platform for enterprise mobility, TethrOn, was selected to specifically address these limitations experienced with Siebel Open UI Mobile.
The initial phase of the solution will provide sales users and account executives the ability to execute mission critical sales and marketing activities from their tablets for both online and disconnected use. This includes enabling order capture for both activation and re-supply at company retail locations, as well as exposing the review and approval of quarterly and annual trade promotions targeted for large grocery stores.
